The Assiniboine Riverwalk is a distinctive attraction situated in downtown Winnipeg, winding along the riverbanks underneath Esplanade Riel all the way to the foot of the Manitoba Legislature. When the Assiniboine Riverwalk was damaged by floodwaters in 2011, Chabot with our proven expertise and capability, completed the flood protection and restoration work on-time and on-budget.

Project Overview
The work consisted of repairs to address flood damage and reinstate the Assiniboine Riverwalk to its pre-2011 flood condition.
Scope of Work
- Site development and restoration
- Placement of additional rockfill riprap material along the shoreline down to the channel bottom to restore the original rockfill berm design geometry
- Resetting or replacing the limestone curb located along the shoreline edge of the Assiniboine Riverwal
