Finishing the Job: Major Improvements on Hwy #1 East of Winnipeg

This multi-year project on Hwy #1 East of Winnipeg stretched over 22KM from PTH 11 to PR 308 in the RM of Reynolds. This project provided the opportunity to prove our strength and expertise for the scope of work, honed during the initial phase of the improvements on MI#6438. We are pleased to report this project was completed on-schedule and is the final stretch to complete the area improvements along Hwy#1 East of Winnipeg.

Project Overview:

Section I – PTH 1 (Grade Widening)
Construction of a widened embankment and gravel shoulders, with drainage improvements, on the westbound lanes of Provincial Trunk Highway 1, from Provincial Trunk Highway 11 to Provincial Road 308, for a total construction distance of 22.2km, in the Municipality of Reynolds,
Section II – PTH 11 (Intersection Improvements at Whitemouth Access)
Intersection improvements, including construction of a right turn lane on Provincial Trunk Highway 11, and realignment of the Whitemouth Access Road (Provincial Access Road 643), in the Municipality of Whitemouth,
Section III – PTH 11 (Intersection Improvements at PTH 44 South Jct.)
Intersection improvements, including realignment of the municipal road (Scott’s Hill Road) located at the south junction of Provincial Trunk Highway 11 and Provincial Trunk Highway 44, in the Municipality of Whitemouth,
