CHABOT is proud to be a part of this waterway protection project in Victoria Beach, completed in the winter of 2018. The resulting channel improvements will make a huge difference for this community, clearing the way for smooth sailing onto Lake Winnipeg this year.

We're pleased to share a message from Friends of The Channel:

"The 2nd and last phase of the channel dredging has been successfully completed. L .Chabot Enterprises excavated at the beginning of Jan 2018 starting at the most westward portion into the Lake and back eastward to the lagoon. The excavator, loader and truck were on site for about 10 days. Conditions were ideal for dredging and excavation. Overall the completion signifies a successful and long anticipated usable channel for safe and open navigation. This would have not been possible without the major contribution from the RM of Alexander and also by many others such as the RM of Victoria Beach, Yron Manz Marine, Birchwood Hotel, The Pelican Point Group, and private VBE unit owners. Special acknowledgement goes out to L. Chabot Enterprises and Martin Gurtman (Director of Operations) with the vision and determination to make this happen on budget and on time." - Ken Lenton President, VBE Board of Directors
